The Role: Graduate/Intermediate Accountant (with adaptable working arrangements)
This role suits an accountant who has completed their degree and gained a couple of years' experience in public practice, and is ready for the next step. You will take on more complex client work with increasing autonomy, while continuing to receive mentoring and support from our Directors and Seniors as you progress towards your CA/CPA qualification.
Your Responsibilities:
- Prepare financial statements, income tax returns and BAS/IAS for companies, trusts, partnerships and individuals across a varied client base
- Assist with tax planning and compliance work for small to medium family groups
- Build and maintain direct client relationships, communicating clearly on the progress of their work
- Support the training and development of cadets within the team
- Contribute to business advisory tasks under the guidance of Directors and Seniors
About You:
- Looking to start or working towards completion of your CA/CPA qualification
- 0-3 years' experience in an accounting practice (public practice experience preferred)
- Solid technical grounding in financial statement preparation and income tax compliance
- Familiarity with cloud-based accounting software
- Robust written and verbal communication skills
- Exceptional attention to detail and strong organisational skills
- A collaborative team player with a proactive approach to learning
