Responsibilities

- Strategic Planning – develop and implement crime prevention strategies to protect the university community and assets.
n
- Investigations Management – lead investigations into criminal activity on campus and liaise with law‐enforcement agencies as required.
n
- Event Security – manage security arrangements for special events and VIP visits, ensuring safety while maintaining the university's reputation.
n
- Training and Development – prepare and deliver high‐quality security training and awareness programmes for university stakeholders.
n
- Risk Analysis – conduct security reviews and provide expert advice to mitigate risks and threats to safety.
n

Qualifications and Experience
n
n
- Seasoned security professional with extensive experience in law‐enforcement or a similar field.
n
- Strong investigative skills and the ability to develop strategic security initiatives in a complex organisational environment.
n
- Substantial senior‐level experience in security management or law‐enforcement.
n
- Expertise in criminal investigations, evidence gathering and witness interviewing.
n
- Strong risk analysis and security planning skills for major events.
n
- Excellent communication skills for engaging diverse stakeholders and delivering training.
n
- Experience in developing and implementing crime‐prevention strategies.
n
- Proficiency in analysing security data and preparing comprehensive reports.
n
- Leadership ability in managing critical incidents and motivating teams.
n
- Relevant qualifications in law‐enforcement or security (desirable).
n
- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (desirable).
n
- Willingness to undergo a police check if required.
n
