Role Description This full-time remote role as an IT Support Officer / IT Support Specialist (Entry / Junior Level) focuses on providing day-to-day technical assistance to internal users and clients.
Responsibilities include responding to support tickets, diagnosing and resolving common hardware and software issues, and guiding users through troubleshooting steps via email, chat, or video calls. The role involves installing, configuring, and maintaining desktop computers and peripherals, managing printer connectivity and basic network-related issues, and escalating complex incidents to senior team members when needed. The specialist will document solutions, update knowledge bases, follow established service desk procedures, and collaborate with the wider IT team to ensure stable and secure IT operations.
Qualifications
- Ability to provide effective Technical Support, including user assistance and ticket handling.
- Robust Troubleshooting skills for diagnosing and resolving common hardware, software, and connectivity issues.
- Foundational knowledge of Information Technology concepts, operating systems, and basic networking.
- Practical experience with Desktop Computers, including installation, configuration, and routine maintenance.
- Basic Printer Support skills, including setup, driver installation, and resolving printing errors.
- Good communication skills, with the ability to explain technical issues in clear, accessible language.
- Customer-focused mindset and patience when supporting users with varying technical proficiency.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment, manage time effectively, and follow documented procedures.
- Relevant certification or coursework (e.g., CompTIA A+, ITIL fundamentals, or equivalent) is an advantage.
- Prior internship, help desk, or entry-level IT experience is beneficial but not required.
