Junior Business Analyst / Graduate Business Analyst (Entry / Junior Level)Role Description

We are seeking an analytical, detail-oriented, and articulate Junior Business Analyst / Graduate Business Analyst to join our business transformation and technology solutions team. In this entry-to-junior level role, you will act as a vital bridge between business stakeholders and technical execution teams, helping to translate strategic business needs into functional requirements and software solutions. Working closely with Senior Business Analysts, Product Managers, Project Managers, and Software Development teams, you will participate in requirement-gathering workshops, map current vs. future-state business processes, document functional specifications, and assist with user acceptance testing (UAT).

Responsibilities include analyzing operational workflows, maintaining project documentation, logging software change requests, evaluating data to surface operational bottlenecks, and supporting product rollout activities. Success in this position requires strong analytical reasoning, exceptional written and verbal communication, proficiency with process modeling tools, and a proactive problem-solving approach.

Qualifications

- Education: Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Business Administration, Information Systems, Business Analytics, Computer Science, Industrial Engineering, or a related field; ECBA (Entry Certificate in Business Analysis) or PMI-PBA is considered an advantage.
- Requirements Elicitation & Management: Foundational experience gathering, structuring, and prioritizing functional and non-functional requirements from stakeholders using interviews, surveys, and workshops.




- Process Modeling & Mapping: Ability to map end-to-end business workflows and standard operating procedures (SOPs) using flowcharting and diagramming tools (e.g., Microsoft Visio, Lucidchart, or Miro) using standard notations like BPMN.
- Agile & SDLC Documentation: Practical understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies, including writing clear User Stories, acceptance criteria, wireframes, and traceability matrices.
- Data Analysis & Querying Skills: Ability to analyze business metrics and inspect source datasets using intermediate SQL queries and spreadsheet tools (Microsoft Excel / Google Sheets) to validate operational requirements.
- User Acceptance Testing (UAT) Support: Capability to assist with UAT strategy creation, writing UAT test scripts, coordinating user testing sessions, and validating feature delivery against initial business specifications.
- Tool Proficiency: Familiarity with modern project tracking, documentation, and wireframing tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence, Trello, Figma, or Balsamiq).
- Stakeholder Management & Interpersonal Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to articulate technical solutions to non-technical users and build solid relationships across cross-functional teams.
- Problem-Solving & Critical Thinking: Diagnostic mindset with a strong ability to break down complex business problems, identify root causes, and propose practical, cost-effective solutions.
