Join a Payroll team that supports more than 4,000 employees across Queensland and Victoria
n
We are looking for a Payroll Officer to join our in-house payroll team and help ensure our employees are paid accurately and on time, every time.
n
Reporting to the Payroll Manager, you will be part of a collaborative team responsible for delivering payroll services across a large and diverse organisation. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with payroll experience who enjoys working in a fast-paced workplace, solving problems, and providing great service to stakeholders.

About the role.
n
As a Payroll Officer, you will support the end-to-end processing of a fortnightly payroll and assist with a range of payroll administration activities across the employee lifecycle.
n
n
- Processing payroll transactions accurately and within required timeframes.
n
- Processing new starters, employee changes, transfers, salary reviews, and terminations.
n
- Maintaining employee payroll records and ensuring data accuracy.
n
- Administering payroll deductions including superannuation, salary packaging, and taxation requirements.
n
- Responding to payroll enquiries and resolving issues through the payroll ticketing system.
n
- Assisting with off-cycle and advance pay runs.
n
- Supporting continuous improvement initiatives and contributing to a high-performing payroll function.
n
- Collaborating closely with stakeholders across the organisation to deliver a responsive and professional payroll service
n

What you bring to the role.
n
You will be a detail-oriented payroll professional who enjoys working as part of a team and takes pride in delivering accurate and timely outcomes and bring:
n
n
- Experience in a payroll or payroll-related role using a recognised payroll system.
n
- Understanding of payroll processes and employment arrangements, including Awards and Enterprise Agreements.
n
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
n
- The ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
n
- Well-developed customer service and communication skills.
n
- Strong problem-solving capability and a continuous improvement mindset.
n
- Experience working in a medium to large organisation will be highly regarded.
n
n
Experience with Aurion and/or UKG Dimensions is advantageous but not essential
