Role
n
As Estimator your role will include
n
n
- Reporting to the Managing Estimator and supported by the Senior Estimator and Pre-construction Manager, you will be responsible for the commercial elements of tenders. The tenders will be a mixture of Design and Build and Traditional contracts. Projects vary in value from £2m to £30m across highway authorities, industrial developments, rail and environmental sectors. Other duties will include:

- Responsible for the tender from receipt, through to submission and post-tender queries.

- Consult with internal and external tender team.
n
- Mark up enquiries to be sent out to the supply chain, produce or organise Bills of Quantities production and obtain material quotes.
n
- Evaluate returned quotations from supply chain and consult with the supply chain member to align quotations with project specifications.
n
- Prepare and evaluate risk and chance.
n
- Arrange and prepare commercial documents for Tender Handover meetings.
n
- Review supply chain performance quarterly.
n
- Attend pre-qualification, mid tender, and post tender interviews.
n
- Visit sites to obtain feedback.

Requirements
n
To be considered for this Estimator role you must meet the following criteria:
n
n
- Knowledge of Civils / Highways Sector.
n
- Previous employment as an Assistant Estimator, Estimator, Senior Estimator or similar.
n
- Previous experience / knowledge in Civils, Highways or Rail sector projects.
n
- Previous Main Contractor employment.
n
- Excellent communication skills.
n
- Relevant industry qualification (Degree / HND / HNC etc).
n
