A Dymocks' education company, Dymocks Tutoring/Talent 100 is looking to be a market leader in school tutoring services, renowned for helping students succeed by improving marks and confidence.

We're looking for a motivated and empathetic Learning Coach to act as a "success coach" for year 11 and 12 students. In this role, you will help students improve their grades and confidence by providing high-touch academic support and proactive mentorship.

About the Role
n
This is an all-rounder role that combines direct student support with customer service and family engagement. Reporting to the Head of Teaching and Learning, you will be responsible for:
n
n
- Academic Support: Providing immediate, fair-use academic assistance during Homework Help sessions by responding to subject-specific and study-related questions.
n
- Student Outreach: Making outbound academic check-in calls to support student engagement, identify learning gaps, and implement appropriate interventions.
n
- Success Coaching: Helping students plan and manage their study, track assessment results, and connect with targeted learning resources.
n
- Growth & Engagement: Supporting growth initiatives by promoting additional subjects and encouraging referrals to the Dymocks Guru Discord channel.
n
- Reporting: Maintaining clear and accurate student and customer records, and delivering daily updates on service usage and outreach outcomes.
n
n
About you
n
To be successful in this role, you will be a high achiever who balances academic expertise with the emotional intelligence required to coach senior students toward success.
n
Essential:
n
n
- Academic Excellence: A high ATAR (95+) with a Band 6 in HSC English (up to Advanced), Maths (up to Advanced), and at least one Science or HSIE subject.
n
- Availability: Consistent availability for at least 4 nights per week (Monday–Sunday) between 6:00 pm and 10:00 pm.
n
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to "read between the lines" to understand a student's struggles.
n
- Organizational Skills: Strong ability to pivot between providing academic help and making outreach calls.
n
- Compliance: A current employee Working With Children Check (WWCC) is mandatory.
n

Desirable:

- Previous experience in sales or customer service calls within an educational setting.
n

- Completing academic check-ins on time, with clear actions and documented outcomes.

- Identifying learning gaps that drive measurable improvements in engagement or performance. Maintaining accurate, timely records and daily reporting aligned with service and outreach KPIs.

- Contributing to growth targets through subject recommendations and referrals.
