This isn't an administration role. We're looking for someone who gets excited when the phone rings with a new enquiry, enjoys meeting people, loves closing a sale, and takes pride in delivering unforgettable events from start to finish.

- Has experience with reservation systems such as SevenRooms, OpenTable, OrderMate or similar (preferred but not essential).

About the Role

n

Reporting directly to the Venue Manager and General Manager, you'll oversee all reservations and functions from enquiry through to execution,



ensuring every guest receives outstanding service while maximising venue revenue.

n

You'll become the face of functions at Penny Young, building strong relationships with clients, creating seamless experiences, and working closely with our operations team to deliver exceptional events.

n

Take Ownership Of 4 Key Areas

n

Reservations

n

n
- Manage all reservation enquiries across phone, email and online platforms.
n
- Optimise seating plans to maximise revenue and guest experience.
n
- Maintain accurate booking systems and guest databases.
n
- Coordinate large group bookings and special requests.
n
- Work closely with floor managers to ensure smooth daily operations.
n

Functions & Events

n

n
- Respond to all function enquiries promptly.
n
- Conduct venue inspections with prospective clients.
n
- Prepare quotes, proposals and event run sheets.
n
- Convert enquiries into confirmed bookings.
n
- Coordinate weddings, birthdays, corporate functions and special events.
n
- Liaise with chefs, bar managers and operations to ensure flawless execution.
n
- Be the key contact for clients before, during and after their event.
n

Sales & Business Development

n

n
- Proactively grow functions revenue.
n
- Build relationships with local businesses and the community.
n
- Follow up warm leads and past clients.
n
- Identify opportunities to increase repeat business.
n
- Help create promotions and packages that drive bookings.
n

Administration

n

n
- Maintain accurate event calendars and function documentation.
n
- Process deposits, final payments and confirmations.
n
- Prepare weekly reports on enquiries, conversions and upcoming events.
n
- Ensure all event information is communicated clearly to the operations team.
n
