Lead Network Software Developer | 6-Month Contract

We are looking for an experienced Lead Network Software Developer to join a cross-functional engineering team within a telecommunications environment.

This is a hands-on technical leadership role covering network software development, network automation, Agile delivery and solution architecture.

The role will involve:

• Leading delivery across multiple network software projects

• Developing and automating network configurations and solutions

• Reverse engineering existing systems and understanding integrations and data flows

• Documenting current-state architecture and developing technical process flows

• Contributing to network orchestration and automation platforms

• Providing technical leadership, code reviews and mentoring

• Working closely with network, software, architecture, product and business teams

We’re looking for experience in:





• Network software development or network automation

• Solid IP networking and network configuration

• Python and/or JavaScript / Node.js

• REST APIs and system integrations

• Solution architecture and system discovery

• Agile delivery and technical leadership

• Network orchestration and automation

Experience with Cisco NSO, Itential IAP, Temporal, Linux, CI/CD and telecommunications environments will be highly regarded.

Contract: Initial 6 months, with potential for extension

Location: Australia | Hybrid
