Lead Tester / Test & Quality Lead

6 Month Fixed Term Contract

We're partnering with a client operating in a highly regulated industry to find an experienced Lead Tester to own the overall testing and quality assurance approach for a live project.

This is a hands on role, not a pure test management position. You'll be just as comfortable setting the testing strategy as you are getting on the tools yourself, designing and executing test cases, running API and system testing, chasing down defects and validating fixes alongside the broader test team.

What you'll be doing

- Owning the overall application testing and QA approach for the project
- Leading test planning and requirements traceability
- Designing and executing functional, integration and API testing
- Driving regression and performance testing, hands on
- Owning defect management and release quality
- Coordinating directly with the client on UAT




- Working closely with the GRC team to support security testing and assurance activities

What we're after

- Proven experience owning a test strategy end to end, not just contributing to one
- A genuinely hands on tester, not someone who's stepped away from the tools
- Strong experience across functional, integration, API, regression and performance testing
- Experience supporting security testing alongside a GRC or compliance function
- Comfortable running UAT conversations directly with client stakeholders
- Recent experience in a highly regulated industry is highly regarded

Please note, due to the highly regulated nature of this workplace, only Australian Citizens, Permanent Residents, and FTC can be considered for this role. Experience working across highly regulated environments or frameworks is considered a bonus.
