As a member of the Secondary School Academic Leadership Team, you will work closely with the Dean of Studies, Dean of HSC, Dean of IB and Head of Secondary School to drive excellence in curriculum, pedagogy, assessment and student outcomes across both the HSC and International Baccalaureate programmes.

About the role | As Head of Department English, you will:

- Provide strategic, academic and operational leadership of the English faculty.
- Drive high standards in teaching, learning and assessment.
- Lead curriculum development and faculty improvement initiatives.
- Use data and evidence-informed practice to enhance student outcomes.




- Support and mentor teachers through coaching and classroom observation.
- Champion innovation, interdisciplinary learning and continuous improvement.

About you | You will bring:

- Teaching qualifications and NESA accreditation.
- Demonstrated excellence in English teaching.
- Experience teaching across secondary years, including senior courses.
- The ability to lead, influence and inspire others.
- Solid communication and relationship-building skills.
- A growth mindset, strategic thinking capability and passion for developing people.

Previous leadership experience, or evidence of leadership readiness, will be highly regarded.
