ABOUT THE ROLE

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
n
n
- Manage leave of mining crew review applications, complete approvals within a timely manner.
n
- Advise mining crew of company announcements at prestart meetings.
n
- Coordinate and assist with the facilitation of information/training sessions as appropriate.
n
- Maintain and support a positive department, site and companyfocused culture that makes Norton Gold Fields a safe and preferred place to work.
n
- Utilise, improve and maintain systems and procedures for effective management of underground mining operations.
n
- Provide significant input into theorganisation and operational efficiency of Norton's Underground Mining department.
n
- Effective leadership of the underground crew including context setting, task assignment, performance monitoring, coaching and informal performance reviews.
n
- Health andsafety performance withinthe underground crewand areas of accountability, including risk assessment and control integrated into all activities.
n
- Environmental performance against target within the underground crew activities and areas of accountability.
n
- Efficiency and care in use of equipment and resources by the underground crew.
n
- Performance in execution of role accountabilities and tasks assigned.

ABOUT YOU
n
n
- Previous experience as a shift supervisor with a minimum of 10 years' experience.
n
- Proven Experience in an Underground Shift Supervisor Role
n
- Sound understanding of Underground mining development and production operations.
n
- Sound understanding of mine planning, mining engineering and geology.
n
- Proven experience and of Underground mining plant and equipment operation and maintenance.
n
- Good understanding of statutory requirements, underground mining (Mining Safety and Inspection Act 1994 (WA) and, Mines Safety and Inspection Regulations 1995 (WA)).
n
- Western Australian Underground Shift Supervisors ticket(essential)
n
- Satisfactory GSDU / NPC clearance(essential)
