Experienced electrical engineer needed to lead grid connection for renewable energy projects, both Greenfield and acquired.

n

Our client is a global clean energy solutions provider at the forefront of renewable energy. It has a mix of acquired and developed projects across Australia. With a strong presence in the Australian market, it specializes in developing, constructing, and managing renewable energy projects in New South Wales, Victoria, and Queensland.

The Prospect:

n

We're seeking a dynamic Grid Connections Manager to lead grid connection processes for cutting-edge renewable energy and energy storage projects. This role offers:

n

n
- Leadership in grid connection activities across project lifecycles
n
- Collaboration with industry stakeholders, including NSPs, AEMO, and OEMs
n
- Opportunity to work on complex, utility-scale projects - Solar, BESS & Wind
n
- Stand alone Grid Connections position in the organisation, reporting into the BESS Lead
n
- Hybrid Working - 3 days in the Northern Beaches office
n

n

Key Responsibilities:

n

n
- Spearhead grid connection processes from development to commissioning
n




- Manage stakeholder relationships and negotiate connection agreements
n
- Oversee power system studies and GPS compliance
n
- Provide technical expertise for project proposals and evaluations
n
- Develop and implement GPS Compliance Plans for operational projects
n
- Experience in Grid Connection and HV substation design.
n

n

The Ideal Candidate:

n

n
- Degree in Electrical Engineering
n
- 2+ years of experience in grid connections processes
n
- Strong understanding of GPS compliance and power system modelling
n
- Knowledge of NER, AEMO processes, and NSP requirements
n
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
n
- Grid Code knowledge.
n
- Experience in GPS
n
- Engineering Softwares to be used: Autocad, PVsyst, PSSE, Dig-silent; Etap; QGIS
n
