Sikorsky Australia is seeking a mechanically minded, hands-on qualified to join our logistics team as a Technical Support Specialist – Logistics. You will support MH-60R helicopter systems, working with spares, tooling, test equipment (S&TE;), and structured maintenance processes while being trained in logistics, inventory, and technical support systems.
This role is ideal for candidates with mechanical, electrical, or technical aptitude from aviation, Defence, automotive, mining, rail, or manufacturing backgrounds. No prior logistics experience is required — training in SAP4HANA, MILIS, CAMM2, MEX, and AMPS will be provided.
Key responsiblities
- Conduct supportability assessments, spares analysis, and tooling evaluations for MH-60R systems
- Maintain and evaluate test equipment (TE) and ground support equipment (GSE)
- Assist with logistics management of Items of Supply (IOS) including inventory control, materials management, and codification
- Liaise with internal teams and external contractors to ensure timely parts support
- Contribute to process improvement, structured maintenance plans, and reliability-focused initiatives
What you'll bring
We are seeking a highly motivated, professional with experience working with Logistic Management Systems. You will have excellent attention to detail and thrive in an up-tempo environment where teamwork is essential.
To be successful you will demonstrate:
- Certificate II in Aviation, Aeroskills (Avionics), or Aircraft Maintenance OR
- Certificate III in Electronics, Aviation, Engineering, or related technical discipline, or equivalent hands-on experience
- Mechanically minded with strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Experience in maintenance and repair, preventative or corrective maintenance, root cause analysis, or reliability engineering is highly desirable
- Comfortable learning logistics systems and processes (SAP, CAMM2, MEX, AMPS, Dynamics)
- Able to interpret technical documentation, parts data, and maintenance manuals
- Strong analytical, organisational, and stakeholder management skills
