About The Company The Royal Flying Doctor Service (RFDS) Queensland Section is a leader in delivering aeromedical and primary healthcare services to rural, remote and regional communities across Queensland. About The Role
RFDS Queensland Section is seeking a Licensed Aircraft Maintenance Engineer - B1 to join the engineering team at Brisbane Base, supporting the maintenance and airworthiness of the RFDS Queensland fleet.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on RFDS fixed wing aircraft
- Perform inspections, defect diagnosis and rectification in accordance with approved maintenance data
- Certify maintenance work within the scope of licence privileges
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation
- Work collaboratively with the wider engineering team to ensure fleet availability for operations
- Participate in an on-call roster supporting 24/7 operational requirements
- Ensure compliance with CASA regulations and RFDS engineering procedures
Essential Requirements
- CASA B1 Licensed Aircraft Maintenance Engineer licence
- Demonstrated experience maintaining fixed wing turbine aircraft
- Strong understanding of CASA regulatory requirements
- Ability to work as part of a team and independently
- Willingness to participate in an on-call/roster system
- Robust attention to detail and commitment to safety
