Lighting & Design Sales Consultant

Love design? Good with people? We may be looking for you. Lumen8 Architectural Lighting is a well-established Brisbane business based in Fortitude Valley. For more than 20 years, we've been helping architects, interior designers, builders, electricians and homeowners create great lighting for residential and commercial projects.

We're a small, friendly team, and we're looking for someone who will enjoy being part of it.

The person we're looking for

You don't need to be a lighting expert — we can teach you the lighting. What matters more to us is who you are. We're looking for someone who is:

- Friendly, confident and naturally good with people.
- Reliable and has good common sense.
- A good communicator who can have a conversation with all sorts of people.
- Interested in design, architecture and interiors
- Organised and someone who takes pride in following things through.
- Comfortable working independently but enjoys being part of a small team.
- Curious and willing to learn.
- Someone who genuinely enjoys building relationships rather than simply making a sale.

What you'll be doing

You'll spend most of your time in our Fortitude Valley showroom, working with clients and helping them find the right lighting for their projects.

Your day might include

- Talking with architects, interior designers, builders, trades and homeowners.
- Helping clients select lighting and find solutions that suit their project.
- Preparing quotes and following up enquiries.
- Managing orders and making sure things keep moving.
- Building and maintaining relationships with our existing clients.




- Following up projects and opportunities.
- Meeting clients and presenting lighting solutions.
- Getting involved in showroom activities, marketing and industry events.
- Learning about our products, manufacturers and the technical side of lighting.

It's a role where being good with people really matters. We want someone who can sit down with an architect and have a thoughtful conversation about a project, help a customer who isn't sure what they want, and build relationships that continue for years.
