GlenEynord Rural is seeking an enthusiastic and proactive Livestock Overseer to play a key role in the daily management and strategic expansion of their high-performing livestock operations near Lake Bolac. Operating across 1,580 hectares with 2,500 Primeline breeding ewes and 900 hectares of cropping, this position offers an exciting opportunity to directly drive flock growth and resume full stocking capacity.

Reporting directly to management while demonstrating strong autonomy, you will oversee grazing management, livestock welfare, animal health/husbandry, and comprehensive data tracking utilising AgriWebb, One Note and Excel. Duties also include maintaining water infrastructure (monitored via Farmbot), fencing, general property upkeep, and support for seasonal cropping. Career progression and increased enterprise responsibilities are real prospects for someone self-motivated and adaptable.

A good team of working dogs is required.

The Ideal Candidate The ideal candidate is a self-motivated, quality-focused livestock professional with a genuine passion for sheep production, a strong work ethic, and the drive to take on increasing responsibility.

- Skills & Experience: Proven experience in sheep husbandry, animal health/welfare, and proactive pasture grazing management.
- Autonomy & Initiative: A self-starter mindset with the ability to work autonomously with minimal instruction while communicating key operational metrics and challenges back to management.
- Team Orientation: Strong collaborative spirit to work productively with others during peak seasonal demand periods.
- Tech Aptitude: Proficiency or strong willingness to utilise digital farm management tools, including AgriWebb, Farmbot, OneNote, and Excel.
- Licences & Dogs: Possession of a valid manual driver's licence, and a team of well-trained working dogs.
- Maintenance Ability: Practical mechanical, fencing, and water infrastructure maintenance skills; tractor driving, MR licence, chainsaw ticket, Ag certificate, or chemical accreditation are advantageous.
- Work Pride: High standard of workmanship, maintaining clean and organised vehicles and machinery, and a commitment to animal care and landscape stewardship.
