Role Description
We are looking for an organized and results-driven
Logistics Project Manager to plan, coordinate, and deliver logistics projects that improve operational efficiency, service quality, and supply chain performance. The role involves managing project scope, timelines, resources, stakeholders, and risks while ensuring projects are delivered effectively and aligned with business objectives.
Key responsibilities include
- Plan, coordinate, and manage logistics and supply chain projects from initiation through completion.
- Define project objectives, scope, deliverables, timelines, resources, and performance requirements.
- Coordinate with transportation, warehousing, procurement, operations, suppliers, and other stakeholders.
- Monitor project progress, budgets, schedules, and key performance indicators.
- Identify operational risks, bottlenecks, and potential delays and develop appropriate mitigation plans.
- Analyze logistics processes and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, cost, service quality, and delivery performance.
- Develop project plans, progress reports, process documentation, and management updates.
- Coordinate the implementation of new logistics processes, systems, tools, and operational initiatives.
- Manage communication among internal teams, external partners, vendors, and other project stakeholders.
- Track project issues and ensure timely resolution of operational and cross-functional challenges.
- Support data analysis and performance reporting to evaluate project outcomes and identify further improvements.
- Ensure projects comply with company policies, safety requirements, quality standards, and applicable logistics procedures.
Qualifications
- Strong understanding of logistics, transportation, warehousing, supply chain, and project management principles.
- Strong project planning, organizational, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects, priorities, deadlines, and stakeholders effectively.
- Good understanding of logistics KPIs, cost management, operational efficiency, and service performance.
- Robust analytical skills with the ability to interpret operational and project data.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and project management tools; familiarity with ERP, WMS, or TMS platforms is preferred.
- Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to identify risks, resolve issues, and make practical, data-driven decisions.
- Strong attention to detail and a structured approach to project execution.
- Ability to work effectively with cross-functional and external teams.
- Results-oriented mindset with a focus on continuous improvement and operational excellence.
- Relevant education or training in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business, Operations, Project Management, or a related field is preferred.
