Corporate Communications and Media Partner

BEDA is looking for a Corporate Communications and Media Partner to support the Tourism and Events team on a 13-month contract and help tell BEDA's story in powerful, compelling ways.

About the Role
n
Reporting into the Head of Corporate Communication, you will partner with BEDA's Tourism and Events team to design and deliver integrated corporate communications that support the city's ambitions.
n
Your duties will include, but not be limited to
n
n
- Develop content, media materials and corporate communication that amplifies Brisbane's tourism, events, and industry initiatives;
n
- Lead PR and communications plans across event announcements, industry programs and stakeholder engagement;
n
- Create high‐quality content including media releases, speeches, social posts, briefing notes, EDMs, content plans and campaign reports. Experience in capturing and editing video content highly regarded;
n
- Identify and secure proactive media opportunities that elevate the city's profile;
n
- Manage media requests, stakeholder communications and relationships with agency partners;
n
- Support strategy and day‐to‐day management of BEDA's corporate social channels and website content;
n
- Build trusted relationships with internal teams, industry leaders and government partners; and
n
- Bring fresh, creative thinking and a proactive mindset to a fast‐paced environment where attention to detail matters.

What you will bring
n
n
- A bachelor's degree in communications, Journalism and / or Business;
n
- Experience working in fast‐paced media industries such as tourism, sport or agency highly regarded;
n
- Proven experience developing and successfully implementing communications plans and media liaison;
n
- Exceptional interpersonal skills with confidence to seek new connection; and
n
- Excellent writing and storytelling skills creating content across a range of channels for use by senior leaders.
