Waverley Council is seeking a talented and motivated Marketing & Communications Officer to join our team.

About the role

In this role, you will help devise and execute exciting marketing and communications campaign strategies, produce high-quality content to support projects and events, and champion new and exciting ways to communicate with our community. Your responsibilities will include:

- Marketing Council’s exciting program of events, activations and initiatives across arts, culture, entertainment, community service and more!
- Developing and producing high-quality written, visual and digital content across Council's communications platforms (website, social media, e-newsletters and print publications)
- Supporting communications for Council projects and policy initiatives, translating complex information into transparent, accessible content for diverse audiences
- Collaborating with internal stakeholders across Council departments to gather information and coordinate communications activities
- Assisting in the planning and delivery of marketing, communications and engagement campaigns
- Maintaining content calendars and ensuring timely delivery of communications materials

Skills & Experience

- Tertiary qualifications in communications,



marketing or a relevant field, or commensurate industry experience.
- A minimum of two years industry experience.
- Strong interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships
- Exceptional written communication skills with great attention to detail
- Ability to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines and manage competing priorities.
