We are looking for a commercially minded Management Accountant to join our Finance team and support a diverse and growing group operating across hospitality, gaming, fitness, training, sporting facilities and property.

This is a hands-on role combining strong management and financial accounting fundamentals with business partnering and commercial analysis. You will work closely with the Finance Team to understand performance, challenge results and help turn financial information into better business decisions.

The Group is also undertaking a significant digital transformation, including the implementation of NetSuite, providing an opportunity to help improve our reporting, systems and finance processes.

About the role

Reporting into the Finance Manager, you will take responsibility for management and financial month end reporting and financial analysis across parts of the Group and partner closely with operational managers. This is a hands-on role combining solid management and financial accounting fundamentals with business partnering and commercial analysis. You will work closely with the Finance Team to understand performance, challenge results and help turn financial information into better business decisions.

Key responsibilities

- Prepare accurate and timely monthly management accounts, including P&L;, balance sheet and variance analysis.
- Partner with venue and business leaders to understand financial performance and provide meaningful commercial insights.
- Assist in the preparation of budgets, forecasts and rolling financial projections.
- Support the development of forward-looking reporting and scenario analysis.
- Prepare and review journals, accruals, prepayments and balance sheet reconciliations as part of the month-end process.
- Support profitability analysis across venues, food and beverage outlets and commercial business units.
- Assist with labour, cost and productivity analysis in conjunction with operational teams.
- Support capital expenditure reporting,



project tracking and post-investment analysis.
- Support annual audit, statutory reporting, budgeting and year-end processes.
- Maintain strong financial controls and help improve the quality and integrity of financial information.

About you

- A degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce or a related discipline.
- CA, CPA qualification or equivalent.
- Previous experience in management accounting, commercial accounting or a similar role.
- Strong month-end, management reporting and balance sheet reconciliation experience.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify and explain the drivers behind financial performance.
- Advanced Excel skills and confidence working with large volumes of financial and operational data.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with non-finance managers.
- A proactive approach to problem solving and process improvement.
- Strong attention to detail while still being able to see the broader commercial picture.
- Experience with ERP systems; NetSuite experience would be advantageous but is not essential.
