OVERVIEW
Responsible for the design and communication of the overall vision and high-level structures to enable and guide the transformation of the vision through the design, development and execution of integrated solutions that are aligned to the Enterprise Architecture plan and meet the current and future needs of the business. The role provides comprehensive guidance on the development of, and modifications to, solution components to ensure they take account of relevant architectures, strategies, polices, standards and practices (including security) and that existing and planned solution components remain compatible.
For this engagement deliver validated, reusable capability model and product/application catalogue artefacts suitable for Enterprise Architecture analysis, portfolio planning, investment prioritisation, road mapping, rationalisation, and operational use-cases. Establishing a clear, outcome based map and view of how our bespoke engineered customer facing platforms and services support Enterprise Architecture business capabilities.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Baseline of the existing enterprise architecture capability model and application mappings, understanding the scope of the analysis.
- Creation of model templates, definitions and naming conventions in conjunction with team members, aligning to EA principles and standards covering both SNSW and DCS.
- Eliciting and documenting in scope products via existing catalogues, and via short workshops with product teams.
- Use of AI-assisted internally provided technology to analyse codebases generating suggested capabilities from code.
- Analysis and map Inventory to capabilities, refining capabilities where gaps exist, and ensuring consistency with supporting models.
- Validation of models with Domain and Platform Owners producing a final Capability-to-Application View.
- Preparation of the models for downstream use and loading into a central data repository.
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS
- Strong experience in Enterprise Architecture (EA) and/or Solution Architecture within complex, digital-first organisations.
- Demonstrated experience in the application domain and/or a background in coding.
- Proven ability to refine business capability models, mapping applications/services and platforms to business capabilities.
- Experience creating and maintaining application and platform catalogues
- Robust analytical skills to assess current-state architectures
- Experience working within a product driven operating model, conversing with Product/Engineering Managers and Principal Engineers
- Strong facilitation skills for short, focused workshops to elicit architecture information
- Familiarity with application inventory tools and EA repositories
- Working knowledge of relational and analytical data platforms (e.g. MySQL, Snowflake)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
DESIRABLE REQUIREMENTS
- TOGAF 9+and C4 modelling
- Experience using AI‑assisted or automated tooling(AWS Kiro)to analyse codebases orUX/technical artefacts
- Comfort working with emerging architecture and analysis tools within secure enterprise environments
