National Masonry is seeking an experienced and hands-on Maintenance Fitter to join our team at Wacol, Queensland.
n

About the Role
n
Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, you will be responsible for preventative maintenance, breakdown repairs, and continuous improvement across our production facility.
n
Working closely with the production team, you will help minimise downtime, improve equipment reliability, and ensure our plant operates safely and efficiently.
n
Key Responsibilities
n
n
- Carry out preventative and reactive maintenance across manufacturing equipment
n
- Diagnose and repair mechanical faults to minimise production downtime
n
- Complete scheduled maintenance activities and equipment inspections
n
- Troubleshoot issues across conveyors, hydraulics, pneumatics, motors, and production machinery
n
- Support equipment upgrades, installations, and improvement projects
n
- Identify opportunities to improve equipment reliability and operational efficiency
n
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and report completed works
n
- Work closely with production teams to resolve equipment issues quickly and safely
n
- Ensure all maintenance activities are completed in line with WHS requirements and company procedures
n
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organised work environment
n
n
About You
n
You're a practical and solutions-focused tradesperson who enjoys problem-solving and working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
n
You'll bring:
n
n
- Trade qualification as a Mechanical Fitter, Maintenance Fitter, or similar
n
- Experience working in a masonry, concrete, building products, or manufacturing environment is essential.
n
- Experience in manufacturing, production, industrial, or heavy equipment environments
n
- Strong mechanical fault-finding and troubleshooting skills
n
- Experience with preventative maintenance programs
n
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and manuals
n
- Strong focus on safety and quality
n
- Good communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team
n
- Ability to work autonomously and manage priorities in a busy environment
n
