The Opportunity

We're currently seeking a skilled and reliable Maintenance Officer to join our team, supporting our southern region Aged Care Facilities and Independent Living Villages and helping us maintain secure, welcoming environments for our residents, staff, and visitors.

Reporting to the Assets & Property Lead, you will play a key role in keeping our facilities functioning smoothly and looking their best. This hands-on position covers a broad mix of reactive and preventative maintenance and light construction, no two days will be quite the same.

Your responsibilities will include:

- Carrying out minor repairs to buildings, fixtures, plant and equipment
- Undertaking routine preventative maintenance
- Keeping accurate records and completing administrative tasks, including regular use of our asset management software
- Liaising with and overseeing contractors to ensure servicing and repair work meets required standards
- Travel between facilities within the region
- On-call roster on a rotational basis

About You





We're looking for a motivated, experienced, and appropriately qualified maintenance professional who takes pride in their work and genuinely enjoys being part of a supportive team environment. You will bring:

- Proven experience in a general maintenance role
- A strong customer service mindset, with a friendly and approachable manner
- Flexibility, initiative, and a hands-on, can-do attitude
- Ability to work automatously
- Confidence using computers and/or phone-based software systems
- The ability to liaise with and oversee contractors to provide quality workmanship and record keeping
- Excellent time management skills, with the ability to set priorities, plan ahead, and meet deadlines despite frequent interruptions
- A current driver's licence (essential)
- National Police Check to be provided
- WWVP Tasmania with NDIS Endorsement
