You'll help shape the future of AI adoption across the organisation by translating strategy, regulation and risk requirements into practical governance frameworks, standards, policies and processes. Working closely with stakeholders across the business, you'll support the safe, responsible and effective use of AI while enabling innovation and business value.

This is a highly visible leadership role where you'll provide expert advice on AI governance, oversee governance forums and review processes, lead reporting and insights for senior leaders, and support the ongoing evolution of ART's AI operating model. You'll also play a key role in coaching and developing team capability while fostering a culture of responsible AI use across the organisation.

This role is a permanent opportunity and is based in Brisbane, Sydney or Melbourne.

Responsibilities

Day to day, you'll:

- Lead the ongoing development, implementation and enhancement of ART's AI Governance Framework, Responsible AI Policy, standards and supporting guidance.
- Build and mature AI governance capabilities across projects, procurement activities and enterprise AI use cases.
- Provide leadership, coaching and guidance to members of the AI Governance team.
- Partner with senior stakeholders across Risk, Privacy, Legal, Security, Procurement, Technology, Data Governance, People and business teams.
- Act as a trusted advisor for complex AI governance matters and emerging AI risks.
- Lead and continuously improve the Federated AI Impact Review (FAIR) process and governance forums.
- Oversee AI use case intake, assessment, approval conditions, escalation processes and governance registers.
- Develop and report on AI governance metrics, risks,



incidents, adoption trends and maturity outcomes.
- Support regulatory engagement and ensure timely responses to governance and reporting obligations.
- Champion responsible AI practices that consider privacy, security, accountability and member outcomes.

Qualifications It goes without saying you'll be a great communicator with top notch interpersonal skills. We'll also expect you to pick up problems and come up with quick, creative ways to solve them. It's quite likely you tick some of the following boxes too:

- You hold tertiary qualifications in governance, law, technology, public policy, information security, risk management or a related discipline.
- Your experience includes AI governance, responsible AI, technology governance, enterprise risk management or regulatory implementation.
- You'll have demonstrated success developing and embedding governance frameworks, policies, standards or operating models.
- You're familiar with AI governance and assurance frameworks, including ISO 42001 and AI impact assessment approaches.
- You have experience engaging with regulators and navigating complex regulatory environments.
- Your ability to influence and engage stakeholders enables you to translate technical concepts into practical business outcomes.
- You'll bring leadership experience, including coaching, mentoring or developing capability within a team.
- You're comfortable managing competing priorities while maintaining high standards of governance and delivery.
- You have robust judgement,



resilience and a pragmatic approach to solving complex governance challenges.
- Your understanding of emerging AI risks, opportunities and industry developments enables you to provide strategic advice to leaders.
