About the role:
If successful, you will be responsible for the lifecycle management of AMES Australia’s property assets, including planning, operation, maintenance, renewal and disposal activities. Reporting to the Director Facilities and Property, this role provides direct support to ensure assets are managed in accordance with asset management principles, regulatory requirements and organisational priorities while delivering safe, compliant and cost-effective facilities that support service delivery.
To be considered for this role, you will be able to demonstrate the following key selection criteria:
- Minimum of a Degree in Facilities Management,
Asset Management or similar field; AND
- A minimum 7-8 years’ experience in commercial facilities/asset management, including proven experience managing maintenance programs, compliance obligations, contractors and building operations across a multi-site portfolio
- Demonstrated knowledge of facilities and asset management principles including maintenance planning, lifecycle management, compliance, risk management and contractor oversight
- Sound understanding of the National Construction Code (NCC), Essential Safety Measures (ESM), occupancy requirements, building compliance and Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) Obligations
- Highly developed stakeholder engagement, communication and relationship management skills, with the ability to work effectively across all levels of the organisation and with external service providers
- Proven ability to manage service contracts, support procurement activities, budgets and financial reporting across a diverse multisite property portfolio
- Ability to maintain facilities management systems, asset registers, compliance databases and reporting tools
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office application and property, asset management systems; experience with Finance One or similar systems is desirable
- Strong organisational, analytical and project coordination skills,
with the ability to manage competing priorities across a multi-site property portfolio
- Detailed working knowledge of procedures for the purchase of goods and services, the engagement of contractors and the disposal of surplus plant and equipment
- Knowledge of the Finance One financial system to submit Purchase Orders and Invoices is desirable
- Demonstrated commitment to continuous improvement, customer service and professional values
