About the Company
New Murchison Gold Ltd (ASX:NMG) is a gold mining and exploration company which holds a substantial package of tenements in the prolific Murchison goldfield near Meekatharra, Western Australia. The Company currently operates the Crown Prince and the adjacent Cloudkicker open pit gold mines. The Company has an ore purchase agreement with Westgold Resources Limited, who process the NMG ore at its Bluebird processing facility.
The Company’s project team is studying potential future development of the Crown Prince underground and Lydia open pit prospects. Future growth is being generated by a motivated exploration team focused on the Garden Gully Gold Project which comprises a 619km2 tenure package covering the Abbotts Greenstone Belt and other key regional structures.
NMG is well funded with $201.7 million in cash at 30 June 2026 and is entering an exciting phase of growth, with active open-pit mining, project development and exploration activities.
Position Overview The Manager Health, Safety and Risk is responsible for leading, developing and embedding a high-performance health and safety framework across exploration, operations and corporate activities.
This role provides strategic leadership and hands-on operational support to provide specialist advice, ensure compliance with statutory obligations, alignment with ASX governance expectations, while driving continuous improvement in safety performance, risk management, training effectiveness and workforce capability.
Reporting to the General Manager of Operations, this position will work collaboratively with operational leaders, employees and contractors to build capability, strengthen safety culture and support the business through its next phase of growth.
A key focus of the role will be reviewing and strengthening NMG’s safety management systems, standardising risk practices, improving contractor safety performance and enhancing executive and Board-level safety reporting.

Requirements
This position will suit an experienced, pragmatic and proactive health and safety leader who has strong technical capability and the ability to effectively influence a broad range of stakeholders.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Tertiary qualification in Occupational Health & Safety or similar relevant qualifications.
- Relevant statutory, risk management, incident investigation or auditing qualifications will be well regarded.
- At least 5 years of experience in an OH&S; management role within the resources industry.
- Minimum 10 years’ resources industry experience.
- Solid understanding of WHS legislation, mining regulations and ASX governance expectations.
- Strong knowledge of safety management systems.
- Solid working knowledge of current legislation and regulations.
- Noise and dust qualifications are preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to coach and influence key stakeholders.
- Demonstrated understanding of risk management and incident investigation. methodologies.
- Demonstrated experience reviewing, developing and implementing Mine Safety Management Systems and associated risk management frameworks.
- Robust working knowledge of Western Australian mining safety legislation and regulatory requirements.
- Demonstrated experience managing contractor safety performance within mining operations.
- Demonstrated experience establishing audit programs, standardising risk assessments and implementing practical continuous improvement initiatives.
- Experience preparing executive and Board-level safety reporting, including leading and lagging indicators and material risk reporting.
- Strong written communication skills with the ability to prepare clear, accurate and polished reports and documentation.
- Excellent computer skills (Microsoft Office; Outlook, Excel, Word).
- A practical, collaborative leadership style and the ability to influence contractors and operational teams while maintaining clear safety standards and accountability.
Location, Travel and Roster The role will be on a hybrid roster working between Site and the West Perth office. It is anticipated that the position will work on an approximately 50% site / 50% West Perth basis.
The roster is 8/6 on site, followed by 5/2, 5/2 in West Perth, with additional travel as required by operational priorities.
