CCSG Legal is seeking an experienced and commercially minded Manager – Licence & Registration Services (Solicitor) to lead the continued development and delivery of our Licence & Registration Services function.
Reporting to the Special Counsel, you will lead the day to day operations of the team, manage performance and service delivery, build strong client relationships and identify opportunities to expand our service offering.
The role offers an exciting opportunity to shape the future direction of the function by developing new products, improving operational processes and supporting additional revenue generating services.
You will lead a team comprising a Team Leader and Legal Support Officer/s.
Responsibilities
Here’s an example of your day to day:
- Leading the development and execution of the Licence & Registration Services strategy.
- Managing the team’s daily operations to ensure service levels, accuracy, productivity and compliance standards are consistently achieved.
- Coaching, mentoring and developing team members through regular feedback, training and performance management.
- Planning and managing team resources to support effective workflow allocation,
operational efficiency and client outcomes.
- Personally undertaking licence, registration and information searches requiring legal interpretation and professional judgement.
- Reviewing and interpreting information obtained from courts, government agencies, regulatory authorities and public registers.
- Providing legal guidance and technical expertise to clients, team members and internal stakeholders within the scope of the role.
- Ensuring services are delivered in accordance with relevant legislation, professional obligations, regulatory requirements and company policies.
- Developing and maintaining strong relationships with existing clients and key stakeholders.
- Managing complex client enquiries, escalations and service issues in a responsive and commercially focused manner.
- Conducting client onboarding, training and education sessions where required.
- Monitoring service performance and providing clients with regular reporting on trends, outcomes and service delivery.
- Identifying opportunities to expand the Licence & Registration Services offering through new products, services and revenue streams.
- Evaluating potential services such as caveat lodgements, skip tracing, asset location services, corporate register searches and other complementary legal support services.
- Reviewing and improving operational processes, procedures, systems and quality standards.
- Monitoring team performance, productivity, service levels and key performance indicators.
- Providing weekly operational updates and monthly performance reporting to the Special Counsel.
- Fostering a team culture focused on accountability, professionalism, continuous improvement and client service excellence.
Requirements

- Admission as a Solicitor of the Supreme Court of New South Wales.
- A current unrestricted practising certificate.
- A minimum of five years’ post admission experience.
- Demonstrated experience managing legal, compliance, licensing,
registration or information based services.
- Proven experience leading, coaching and developing teams.
- Strong legal research, analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Experience interpreting and applying legislation, regulations and legal procedures.
- Strong client and stakeholder relationship management experience.
- Commercial acumen and the ability to identify service development and business growth opportunities.
- Experience improving operational processes and service delivery models.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to accuracy and quality.
- Solid organisational, planning and time management skills.
- High level professional judgement and decision making capability.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience using legal practice management or workflow systems.
- A collaborative, accountable and solutions-focused leadership style.
