n Our client is an industrial manufacturer seeking a Cost Accountant who can start immediately with a potential for extension and permanent.

n

About the role
n The Cost Accountant role would start off as a 3-month contract with potential for extension or permanent, based full-time at their head office in Bayswater. The role reports into The CFO and is responsible for:

n

n
- Maintaining accurate product costs
n
- Assisting in the preparation of annual product budgets
n
- Providing pricing and costing analysis to support business opportunities and decisions
n
- Ensuring the master database is kept up to date and accurate
n
- Providing accurate reports and reconciliations for a number of different areas of the business
n
- Calculating customer rebates and accruals and price amendments
n




- Maintaining process and procedure documentation relating to the role
n

n

About you

n

n
- Tertiary Qualification in Accounting or similar
n
- Certified Practising Accountant (CPA), Chartered Accountant (CA) or equivalent
n
- Experience in costing products in a manufacturing environment
n
- Good attention to detail
n
- High critical thinking, analytical and problem-solving skills
n
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
n
- Positive computer literacy skills and comfort with various types of technology
n
- Ability to work well as a team and interact with different groups of people
n
