Child & Adolescent Psychologist (Psychoanalytic Psychotherapist) – Part Time / After Hours – Evenings

Gymea Lily Psychotherapy Centre is seeking Psychologists, Clinical Psychologists and Clinical Psychology Registrars to join our private practice in Kirrawee. We are looking for thoughtful clinicians who enjoy working with children, adolescents and families.

About Our Practice
n
Gymea Lily Psychotherapy Centre is a well‐established private practice located near Kirrawee Railway Station.
n
We focus on psychodynamic, psychoanalytic and play therapy with attention to assessment, formulation, and evidence‐based practice.
n
Typical referrals include autism and neurodivergence/ADHD, trauma/attachment issues, and family challenges.
n
Position Details
n
Positions available from one half‐day (minimum 4 hours) up to 4‐5 days per week, with flexibility to increase sessions over time. Availability required for evenings or Saturdays.
n
Learning and Supervision
n
You will join a team of 13 psychologists, including board‐approved supervisors, and participate in supervision groups, case discussions, and CPD activities.
n
Competencies in Kleinian, Winnicottian, Bionian, attachment‐based and contemporary object relations approaches are encouraged, though not mandatory.
n
Child Psychotherapy
n
The practice includes play therapy rooms and an edible gardens space for creative, symbolic play.
n
Referrals may include child psychotherapy, adolescent psychotherapy, psychoanalytic play therapy, psychodynamic psychotherapy and longer‐term psychotherapy.

Who We Are Looking For
n
We welcome Clinical Psychologists, Clinical Psychology Registrars and Registered Psychologists. Ideal candidates include those returning to work after parental leave, building a private practice, moving from public to private practice, and those wishing to deepen psychodynamic and child psychoanalytic work.

Requirements
n
Applicants must have general registration as a psychologist with AHPRA and eligibility for a Medicare provider number.

- Clinical psychology qualifications or registrar program

- Child and adolescent assessment and therapy
