Market Compliance Officer – Early Morning Shift

$49.50/hr Early Shift | $40/hr Late Shift | Temp to Perm | Monday to Friday Blue Collar People is currently recruiting for a Market Compliance Officer to join an Operations team at a large, busy wholesale market facility in Perth.

This is a hands-on operational role suited to someone who is confident dealing with people, comfortable enforcing site rules and capable of responding calmly and professionally when issues arise.

The position will initially be employed on a casual basis for approximately 3 months, with the intention of moving into a permanent role for the right person.

Pay & Hours

The majority of your roster will be: 4:00am – 12:00pm, Monday to Friday – $49.50 per hour

Occasionally, you may be required to work:

10:00am – 6:00pm – $40.00 per hour

Following the initial temporary period, the successful candidate may be offered permanent employment starting at:

$70,000 + superannuation The 4:00am shift will make up the large majority of the role.

The Role

Your responsibilities will include:

- Assisting with the safe and efficient day-to-day operation of a busy wholesale market site
- Conducting regular site patrols
- Monitoring and enforcing site rules
- Communicating with tenants, workers, drivers, contractors and visitors
- Carrying out licence, access and compliance checks
- Monitoring CCTV and responding to operational issues
- Preparing incident reports and completing general administrative duties
- Acting as a first responder to safety incidents, injuries and emergencies
- Assisting with traffic management and site safety
- Identifying and reporting maintenance or infrastructure issues
- General manual handling and practical site duties when required
- Building positive working relationships with people operating across the site

Who We Are Looking For

This position requires someone with good judgement, confidence and strong people skills. You will need to be comfortable approaching people,



having difficult conversations when required and enforcing rules without unnecessarily creating conflict.

We are particularly interested in candidates with experience in areas such as:

- Site operations
- Warehousing or logistics
- Security or compliance
- Transport or yard operations
- Facilities or property operations
- Customer-facing operational roles

You should have:
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Good customer service and relationship-building skills
- Confidence dealing with conflict and difficult situations
- Initiative and the ability to work independently
- Good computer literacy, including Microsoft Office
- The ability to prepare clear written reports
- A practical, hands-on attitude

Licences & Requirements

Applicants will require:
- Unrestricted manual driver's licence
- National Police Clearance
- Forklift High Risk Work Licence (LF), or willingness to obtain within the first 3 months
- First Aid Certificate, or willingness to obtain within the first 3 months
- Willingness to complete a pre-employment health assessment, including drug and alcohol testing

Previous safety, first response, compliance or conflict-resolution experience will be highly regarded.

What’s On Offer

- $49.50/hr for the primary 4:00am – 12:00pm shift
- $40/hr when working the occasional 10:00am – 6:00pm shift
