Marketing Specialist (full time)

Audience - the centre of our audience customer base is brand marketers, whose roles are to invest their expertise and capital in the most effective ways to help their brands grow. Brand marketers' partner with creative agencies, media buyers, communications companies, and media owners to achieve their goals. Mumbrella must be a contributing partner to our industry by engaging this audience, from the newest member of staff to the C-Suite, to help them perform their roles at their best via the published content on our website, a daily email newsletter, market-leading events, and professional awards.
Commercial partners - we commercialise our website, newsletter, events, and professional awards, by partnering with members of our industry with leading digital advertising solutions, sponsorship associations, event attendee ticket sales, and professional award entries.
Staff

The leadership team of the publisher, editorial director, head of events, head of marketing and commercial director are responsible for achieving our goals.
Reporting to the Head of Marketing and working closely with the Marketing Manager the Marketing Specialist supports the planning, coordination and execution of marketing activity across Mumbrella events, awards and Mumbrella Pro. The role assists with campaign delivery, content coordination, audience growth, partner promotion and performance reporting to help achieve delegate, exhibitor, attendee,
award entry and membership revenue targets.
This is a hands-on, highly organised support role suited to someone who enjoys coordinating multiple campaigns, working collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders, and using data and insights to improve marketing outcomes.
Key responsibilities include supporting marketing campaigns, event and awards promotion, audience engagement, partnership activity, reporting and administrative coordination across the marketing function.
Key Accountabilities
Support the Marketing Manager and Head of Marketing with the strategy, planning, coordination and successful delivery of Mumbrella events and awards marketing activity.
Support initiatives that contribute to the growth of Mumbrella Pro membership revenue.
- Assist in the delivery of marketing campaigns for Mumbrella conferences, summits, awards and memberships, ensuring activity supports agreed audience and revenue targets.
· Coordinate campaign content, timelines, creative requirements and promotional assets across email, website, social, partner and paid channels.
· Work with the Marketing Manager to build relevant, engaging and targeted campaigns that support delegate, exhibitor, attendee and award entry targets.
- Ensure campaign activity aligns with Mumbrella’s marketing goals, brand standards and best-practice processes.
- Monitor and report on campaign performance using key marketing metrics, including audience engagement, conversion rates, cost effectiveness and return on investment.
- Coordinate promotional partnerships with industry organisations and media partners, including asset delivery,
copy requirements, deadlines and reporting.
- Assist with campaign testing and optimisation, including list selection, channel performance, subject lines, messaging, offers and promotional timing.
- Support campaign administration, budget tracking and invoice coordination to help ensure marketing costs are monitored and managed.
Collaboration, Culture & Values:
- Work collaboratively with the Marketing Manager, Head of Marketing and wider Mumbrella team to deliver agreed campaign priorities.
- Contribute positively to team communication, planning meetings and post-campaign reviews.
- Represent Mumbrella professionally when working with speakers, sponsors, suppliers, media partners and industry stakeholders.
- Maintain accurate campaign records, contact lists, marketing calendars, creative briefs and performance reports.
- Follow agreed processes, deadlines and approval workflows to ensure marketing activity is delivered accurately and on time.
- Demonstrate Mumbrella’s values through proactive communication, accountability, attention to detail and a customer-focused approach.
- Key Relationships:
- Mumbrella: Head of Marketing , Graphic Designer, Commercial Director, head of events, marketing manager and marketing coordinator;
- Intermedia: Publishers and editors from complementary publishing divisions
- External parties, Speakers, Stakeholders, Suppliers, Media Partners.
