Emerald Medical Group is seeking a warm, engaging, energetic and customer-focused Medical Receptionist to join the team on a casual basis. The position will provide additional reception support during busiest periods, with shifts of approximately three hours during peak times: 9:00 am to 12:00 pm and/or 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm. Additional hours may be available to cover staff leave and other busy periods.
The role focuses on creating a positive patient experience from the moment a patient walks through the door or calls the practice through to check-out.
Key responsibilities
- Welcoming patients in a friendly and professional manner
- Answering telephone calls and responding to patient enquiries
- Booking, confirming and managing appointments
- Checking patients in and out
- Processing payments and assisting with general billing tasks
- Managing emails and completing general administrative duties
- Maintaining accurate patient information
- Working collaboratively with doctors, nurses and administration staff
- Protecting patient privacy and confidentiality at all times
