Job Title: Machine OperatorLocation: Clayton, VIC
n Shift: Morning shift - flexible start times available
n Rate: $40 - $45 per hour + super (casual rate)
n Terms: Casual ongoing - Temp to perm opportunities

n

About the Role:
n Our client in Clayton is currently seeking an experienced Production Operator / Machine Setter to join their team. This is a hands-on role operating and setting a range of production machinery used in the manufacture of wire thread insert fastening systems.

n

You will report directly to the Production Supervisor and be part of a friendly, high-performing production team.

n

Key Responsibilities:

n

Set up, operate, and monitor manufacturing machinery in line with SOPs

n

Prepare tooling (mandrels, cutters) using hand tools and bench-top equipment

n

Carry out routine maintenance and basic troubleshooting

n

Ensure all safety and quality standards are met

n

Maintain a clean and safe work environment

n

Participate in continuous improvement initiatives

n

What We're Looking For:

n

Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills

n

Ability to set machinery within tight tolerances

n

Basic computer skills and high attention to detail

n

Proactive, reliable, and punctual with solid work ethic

n

Good communication and interpersonal skills

n

Certificate III in Process Manufacturing (highly desirable)

n

Must be an Australian citizen or permanent resident

n
