R & R Community Support Care – Rockhampton QLD

QConnect Care is a growing NDIS provider supporting people across Central Queensland.

We are entering an exciting stage of growth and are looking for an experienced Community Engagement & Growth Manager to help us strengthen our community presence, build meaningful partnerships and create sustainable pathways for future growth.

We want to be genuinely connected to the communities we support — not simply call ourselves community-based. As we continue to grow, we're looking for the right person to help us turn that vision into something practical and sustainable.

About QConnect Care

QConnect Care is a growing NDIS provider supporting people across Central Queensland.

We are entering an exciting stage of growth and are looking for an experienced Community Engagement & Growth Manager to help us strengthen our community presence, build meaningful partnerships and create sustainable pathways for future growth.

We want to be genuinely connected to the communities we support — not simply call ourselves community-based. As we continue to grow, we're looking for the right person to help us turn that vision into something practical and sustainable.

About the role

This is a newly created position working closely with the Director and leadership team.

We're looking for someone experienced, proactive and confident who can bring their own ideas, experience and strategy to QConnect Care.

You won't be stepping into a fully established community engagement department with systems already built for you.

A major part of this opportunity is helping us build the community engagement and growth function from the ground up.

This includes developing our referral and stakeholder networks, helping establish our CRM and growth systems, identifying new opportunities, developing community initiatives and helping create a structured approach to future expansion across Central Queensland.

This is not a social media or traditional marketing position. We have an external marketing team managing our digital marketing, social media and email marketing. Your focus will be on building genuine relationships, partnerships and opportunities within the communities we support.

Key responsibilities

- Build strong relationships with Support Coordinators, schools, allied health providers, plan managers, community organisations and other referral partners

- Develop and maintain strong referral and stakeholder networks across Central Queensland
- Lead the development of our CRM, referral pipeline, stakeholder database and follow-up systems
- Establish processes and systems for tracking referrals, relationships, opportunities and outcomes
- Develop and implement community engagement and partnership strategies
- Identify new service opportunities, community needs and potential service gaps
- Support the growth and development of our group support programs
- Explore opportunities for parent/carer groups, community programs, events and other meaningful community initiatives
- Develop relationships with schools and other organisations to identify opportunities for collaboration
- Represent QConnect Care at networking events, community activities, meetings and other engagement opportunities
- Work alongside our external marketing team to align marketing activity with community engagement and growth priorities
- Identify opportunities for QConnect Care to establish and strengthen its presence in new regional locations
- Help develop a repeatable approach to entering and building relationships within new communities
- Establish KPIs and reporting systems to measure referrals, partnerships, engagement activities, conversions and growth outcomes
- Regularly report on opportunities, outcomes and recommendations
- Bring forward new ideas and identify opportunities that support the ongoing growth of QConnect Care

About you

We're looking for someone who is experienced, proactive, strategic and highly relationship-focused.

You will be comfortable taking ownership of your area, working independently and turning ideas into practical outcomes.

Ideally, you will have:

- Experience in community engagement, stakeholder engagement, partnerships, business development or a similar role
- Demonstrated experience building relationships and developing referral or partnership networks
- Experience contributing to business growth, service development or expansion

- Experience developing or implementing systems such as CRMs, referral pipelines, stakeholder databases or reporting processes
- Strong networking and relationship-building skills
- The ability to identify opportunities and turn them into practical strategies
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Confidence representing an organisation within the community
- Strong organisation and follow-up skills
- A strategic mindset while still being willing to be hands‑on
- The ability to work independently and take genuine ownership of the role
- A current driver's licence

Experience within the NDIS, disability, healthcare or community services sector is highly regarded, however we are also interested in candidates from other sectors who can demonstrate strong experience in partnerships, stakeholder engagement, business development or growth.

Some travel throughout Central Queensland will be required.

Most importantly — show us what you've built

We're particularly interested in candidates who can demonstrate what they have built or developed previously.

Maybe you've:

- Built a referral or stakeholder network
- Developed or implemented a CRM
- Created a partnership strategy
- Launched a successful community initiative or program
- Developed a new service
- Helped an organisation enter a new market or location
- Built a business development or community engagement function from the ground up

We want someone who can bring that experience, thinking and initiative to QConnect Care.

The chance

Part‑time | Hours negotiable for the right candidate

This position has genuine potential to develop into a full‑time role as the function and organisation continue to grow.

This is a hybrid, hands‑on position combining office‑based work, community engagement and flexibility to work remotely. Regular face‑to‑face engagement across Rockhampton will be an important part of the role, with occasional regional travel throughout Central Queensland.

You’ll work closely with the Director and leadership team and have the opportunity to bring your own ideas to the table and genuinely influence how this function is developed.

For the right person, this is an opportunity to build something of your own within a growing organisation and play an important role in shaping how QConnect Care grows and connects with communities across Central Queensland.
