Role Overview
n
As an HR Advisor, you will partner with leaders and managers across APD Global to provide both operational and strategic HR support. You will play a key role in delivering people initiatives, advising on employee relations matters, and supporting performance management processes.
n
This position acts as a trusted advisor to leaders, ensuring HR practices align with business objectives while maintaining compliance with Australian employment legislation. You will also support workforce transitions and contribute to fostering a positive and high-performing workplace culture.

Key Responsibilities
n
Employee Relations & Performance Management
n
n
- Provide practical HR advice and guidance to managers on performance management and employee relations matters
n
- Support leaders in managing performance reviews, development plans, and ongoing employee performance conversations
n
- Assist in resolving workplace issues,
including facilitating discussions and supporting conflict resolution processes
n
- Provide early intervention strategies to address performance concerns and minimise escalation
n
n
Workforce Transitions & Terminations
n
n
- Support managers in handling workforce changes, including restructures and terminations
n
- Ensure all processes are conducted fairly, consistently, and in line with Australian employment legislation
n
- Assist with documentation, process coordination, and compliance requirements related to terminations
n
- Conduct exit interviews and provide insights to support continuous improvement
n
n
Compliance & Documentation
n
n
- Ensure HR practices comply with the Fair Work Act, National Employment Standards (NES), and relevant Modern Awards
n
- Maintain accurate and confidential employee records and HR documentation
n
- Monitor employee relations trends and provide insights to support proactive HR strategies
n
n
Key Qualifications
n
n
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related discipline (or equivalent experience)
n
- 4–7+ years of HR experience, particularly in employee relations and performance management
n
- Experience supporting employee relations cases and workplace investigations
n
- Working knowledge of Australian employment legislation, including the Fair Work Act and NES
n
- Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
n
- Ability to manage sensitive matters with professionalism and sound judgement
n
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities
n
- Membership or certification with the Australian HR Institute (AHRI) (e.g., CAHRI)
n
- Experience in a consulting or client-facing HR setting
n
- Exposure to multi-state employment legislation across Australia
