METAL FABRICATOR

Newland Precision Engineering is a privately owned, ISO accredited company specialising in the manufacture of high-quality machinery and equipment for mining, exploration, and mineral processing industries.

With our reputation built on delivering reliable, precision-engineered products, we are expanding and seeking a skilled Metal Fabricator to join our team in Bayswater. This is a permanent, full time position reporting directly to the Fabrication Supervisor.

About the Role

Main responsibilities will include:

- Interpreting and working from detailed engineering drawings
- Fabricate and assemble metal structures and components to a high standard.
- Weld components in all positions, primarily MIG (TIG experience is desirable)
- Conduct visual inspections of welds to identify cracks, porosity, undercut, or any other defects, ensuring all work meets quality standards.
- Report all non-conforming materials, components, or parts, along with any associated hazards or risks, following company quality procedures and WHS requirements.

About you

- Trade-qualified Metal Fabricator.




- Minimum 3 years’ experience in fabrication or welding roles.
- High-level competency in MIG welding; TIG welding experience (Aluminium and Stainless Steel) is highly desirable.
- Experience with welding hydraulic cylinders is highly desirable.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Confident in interpreting technical drawings and working to specifications.
- Good communication skills and a proactive team attitude.
- Current Driver’s Licence and Forklift Licence.
