PROJECT DIRECTOR - CLIENT-SIDE PROJECT MANAGEMENT

n Lead major current-build apartment and accommodation developments with a respected independent project management consultancy.
n ABOUT THE COMPANY
n Our client is an established client-side project management consultancy with a strong reputation for delivering complex residential and accommodation projects across Sydney and wider NSW.
n With a growing pipeline of new-build apartment, build-to-rent, student accommodation, hotel and mixed-use developments, they are seeking an experienced Project Director to join their leadership team.
n The business offers a collaborative and hands-on environment, with senior leaders remaining closely involved in project delivery and client relationships.
n ABOUT THE ROLE
n Reporting directly to the Directors, you will lead major residential and accommodation projects from feasibility and planning through design, procurement, construction and handover.
n You will take ownership of project strategy, governance, commercial performance, stakeholder management and overall delivery.
n You will also provide leadership and guidance to Project Managers and Senior Project Managers within the business.
n While this is primarily a project delivery role, you will support the development of existing client relationships, identify opportunities for repeat work and contribute to selected business development initiatives.
n KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

- Lead major new-build apartment, accommodation and mixed-use projects.
n
- Manage projects from feasibility and planning through to construction and handover.
n
- Act as the senior point of contact for clients throughout the project lifecycle.
n
- Provide strategic advice across design, procurement, construction and delivery.
n
- Manage project budgets, programs, risk,



governance and reporting.
n
- Coordinate consultants, contractors and key project stakeholders.
n
- Lead and mentor Project Managers and Senior Project Managers.
n
- Build strong long-term relationships with developers, investors and operators.
n
- Support repeat business opportunities through strong project delivery and client engagement.
n
- Contribute to selected business development activities alongside the Directors.
n

ABOUT YOU You will be an experienced Project Director, Associate Director or Senior Project Manager with a strong background in residential or accommodation development. You will bring:

n

- Extensive experience delivering new-build apartment projects.
n
- Exposure to build-to-rent, student accommodation, hotels, serviced apartments or mixed-use developments.
n
- Strong understanding of the full project lifecycle.
n
- Experience working in client-side project management, development management or consultancy.
n
- Strong commercial, contractual and risk management capability.
n
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
n
- Experience leading consultant teams and mentoring project professionals.
n
- A collaborative and practical leadership style.
n
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in Construction, Property, Engineering, Architecture or a related discipline.
n
