About the role

This is a 2 Year Fixed Term Position

The Adminsitrative Officer provides administrative and organisational support to the Legal division, including procurement, invoicing, records and document management, reporting, financial monitoring, risk management, business planning and continuity. It also supports the procurement of external legal services through the whole-of-government legal services panel.
Key responsibilities include managing incoming legal requests, preparing reports and correspondence, organising meetings, maintaining records and business systems, and supporting financial and administrative processes. The role requires strong stakeholder communication, careful handling of sensitive and legally privileged information, confidentiality, sound organisation and the ability to manage competing priorities in a time-critical environment.

- Uses sound business and systems awareness,



understanding how processes connect across the organisation and identifying potential gaps or improvements.
- Demonstrates strong interpersonal skills, remaining considerate and diplomatic while being aware of how their communication and behaviour affect others.
- Is confident using digital systems, including Microsoft 365 and relevant financial and business systems such as Zycus and Oracle.

Qualifications and Experience

Tertiary qualification or relevant experience in an administrative role – (Desirable)

Filing, Archiving and Office systems experience, i.e. LawVu, Oracle, Zycus (Desirable)
