Adelaide Venue Management (AVM) is seeking a dedicated and experienced Kitchen Stewarding Team Leader to join our team in a casual position. Working at the Adelaide Convention Centre (ACC), you'll oversee the day‐to‐day Kitchen Stewarding operations, ensuring the smooth running of kitchen activities from set‐up to pack‐down across a range of events.

AVM is South Australia's leading provider of venue management services, operating three iconic venues: Adelaide Convention Centre (ACC), Adelaide Entertainment Centre (AEC), and Coopers Stadium (CS), as well as functions and events at The Drive (TD).

About the Role:

n

n
- Supervise the cleaning, maintenance, and organisation of all kitchen and stewarding areas.
n
- Lead and mentor a team of stewarding staff to ensure high standards of hygiene and efficiency.
n
- Oversee the cleaning and sanitisation of crockery, cutlery, glassware, and kitchen equipment.
n
- Ensure the smooth flow of service ware during functions and events.
n
- Monitor and manage stock levels, including chemical supplies and equipment.
n
- Maintain compliance with ISO 22000 Food Safety Management System and WHS policies.
n

What We're Looking For:

n

n




- Previous supervisory experience in a large‐scale kitchen or stewarding environment; mining or healthcare kitchen experience highly regarded.
n
- Strong knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards (HACCP/ISO 22000 preferred).
n
- Excellent team leadership and organisational skills.
n
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast‐paced event workplace.
n
- Good communication and problem‐solving skills.
n
- Some computer proficiency for stock management and reporting.
n
- Flexibility to work across a 24/7 roster, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
n
