NDIS Disability Support Worker – Community Access Support (Child Participant) Immediate start

Position: Disability Support Worker

Location: Gosnells

Hours: 3-hour community access shifts (After school 3pm-6pm) School holidays vary.

About the Participant

We are seeking a caring, energetic, and reliable disability support worker to support a 7-year-old boy with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) during community access shifts.

The participant is a bright and engaging young boy who enjoys exploring the community, participating in recreational activities, and developing new skills. He advantages from structured support, positive encouragement, and consistent routines to help build confidence, social skills, and independence.

Key Responsibilities

Provide one-on-one support during 3-hour community access shifts.

Facilitate participation in recreational, social, and community activities.

Support the development of communication, social interaction, and independence skills.

Encourage engagement in age-appropriate activities and interests.

Assist with emotional regulation and transitions between activities.





Promote positive behavior support strategies as outlined in the participant's support plan.

Ensure the participant's safety and wellbeing within community settings.

Provide progress notes and communicate effectively with the family and care team.

Essential Requirements

Experience supporting children with Autism Spectrum Disorder and other developmental disabilities.

Current NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness to obtain one).

Current Working with Children Check.

Current First Aid and CPR Certificate.

Valid Driver's Licence and reliable vehicle.

Ability to work independently and follow support plans.

Work Location: In person

Pay: $33.00 – $38.00 per hour
