Enco is seeking an NPI / Electrical Planner to support maintenance operations at a client site.
The role will focus on planning for electrical assets and supporting newly developed NPI maintenance strategies, working an 8/6 roster (Wednesday to Wednesday) on a 3-6 month initial contract.
The role will include
Maintenance Planning
- Develop detailed maintenance work plans for fixed plant electrical and NPI assets
- Prepare task-specific job plans including labour, materials, tools, equipment requirements
- Ensure all planned work aligns with maintenance priorities and work management standards
- Manage work requests, backlog and upcoming activities, support timely work order completion
Scheduling
- Create and maintain detailed weekly schedules using the weekly scheduling tool
- Optimise schedules to achieve the target schedule loading of 85%
- Coordinate task dependencies and integrate maintenance activities with operational requirements
- Develop and present WK+4 rough-cut schedules to relevant stakeholders
Materials & Resource Management
- Identify and source materials/spare parts and tools required for planned work
- Work closely with procurement and warehouse teams to ensure material availability
- Coordinate internal and external labour resources including contractors and specialised service providers, support mobilisation requirements
Safety & Compliance
- Develop maintenance plans with a robust focus on safety and compliance
- Ensure all work complies with site HSE requirements and relevant standards
- Liaise with safety personnel to ensure permits and procedures are in place
Communication & Coordination
- Work closely with operations, reliability, procurement, project teams, contractors and suppliers to support effective work execution
- Act as the key planning contact for weekly maintenance planning and cadence meetings
- Provide regular updates on schedule compliance, loading, performance and outcomes
Execution Support
- Ensure work orders are distributed to relevant stakeholders
- Respond to emergent work and adjust future plans to minimise repeat issues
- Monitor contractor and maintenance team performance to ensure quality standards are met
- Maintain regular communication with key stakeholders regarding progress, risks and constraints
Weekly Review & Continuous Improvement
- Review completed work to ensure documentation and closeout requirements are met
- Analyse planning and execution performance to identify improvement opportunities
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives that enhance maintenance efficiency, work quality and asset reliability
Essential Requirements
- Electrical Trade Certificate
- Demonstrated experience in maintenance planning and scheduling/coordination for Fixed Plant Electrical and/or Non-Process Infrastructure (NPI) assets within mining or heavy industry environments
Preference will be given to candidates with an electrical trade background and strong maintenance planning experience. Technical Skills, Knowledge & Experience
- Asset Management principles and standards
- Enterprise risk, safety, quality and assurance systems
- Relevant Australian Standards and legislative requirements
- Technical documentation and work pack development
- Quality assurance and quality control processes
- CMMS systems such as SAP or equivalent – Pronto experience will be highly regarded
- Resource planning, budget planning and risk management
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Effective stakeholder engagement and communication skills
