Job Description
Aspirante is seeking an experienced Business Analyst to work with our Queensland Government customer on a significant Digital Platform Project.The contract is expected to commence as soon as possible and will run through to 30 June 2027.
n
Following a strategic review, the customer identified increasing licensing and operational costs within its current digital platform, together with challenges aligning the solution to its future digital architecture and evolving business needs.
n
The project will progressively optimise customer-facing channels and transition existing platform capabilities to a more sustainable, efficient and strategically aligned solution. Its purpose is to reduce ongoing operating costs while maintaining service continuity and supporting future service delivery requirements.

About the role
n
Working across business and technology teams, you will analyse the current environment and translate business needs into clear, traceable and implementable requirements.
n
You will work closely with business stakeholders, service owners, solution architects, developers, technical specialists and delivery partners.
n
Key responsibilities will include:
n
n
- Facilitating workshops and interviews to elicit, clarify and validate requirements.
n
- Analysing existing applications, processes, customer journeys, forms and service requirements.
n
- Documenting business,
functional and non-functional requirements, including reporting, security and integration needs.
n
- Developing current-state and future-state process models, user stories, use cases and requirements specifications.
n
- Identifying opportunities to simplify and improve customer-facing services.
n
- Supporting solution design, testing, business acceptance, readiness and transition planning.
n
- Managing requirements and maintaining traceability throughout design and delivery.
n
n
About you
n
You will bring strong business analysis experience gained across complex digital, technology, application migration or service transformation programs.
n
You will also demonstrate:
n
n
- Strong requirements elicitation, process mapping and documentation skills.
n
- Confidence facilitating workshops and engaging with senior business and technical stakeholders.
n
- Experience working with architects, developers, testers and delivery partners.
n
- An understanding of functional, non-functional, security, reporting, data and integration requirements.
n
- Robust communication skills and the ability to manage competing stakeholder expectations.
n
- Queensland Government or broader public-sector experience, which will be highly regarded.
n
- Tertiary Qualifications understood.
