Job Description
Solutions Engineer
n
Snowflake is growing fast, and we are looking for a Solutions Engineer to help customers understand, evaluate, and realise the value of the Snowflake AI Data Cloud.
n
What you will do
n
n
- Partner with account executives and cross‐functional teams to drive the technical win across the sales cycle.
n
- Present Snowflake's vision, platform, and value to both technical and executive audiences.
n
- Work hands‐on with prospects and customers through discovery sessions, demonstrations, workshops, and proof‐of‐concept engagements.
n
- Guide customers on up-to-date data architecture, solution design, and implementation approaches across analytics, data engineering, AI/ML, performance, and governance.
n
- Translate customer business challenges into practical solution patterns that drive adoption and long‐term value.
n
- Build trusted relationships with architects, engineers, platform teams, and business stakeholders within strategic accounts.
n
- Maintain an understanding of competitive and complementary technologies and position Snowflake effectively in relation to them.
n
- Collaborate with Product Management, Engineering, and Marketing to improve Snowflake's products, messaging, and field effectiveness.
n
- Help customers stay current on Snowflake product innovation, roadmap developments, and emerging use cases.
n
- Represent Snowflake in customer meetings, executive briefings, workshops, and industry events.
n
n
What we're looking for
n
n
- Experience in a customer‐facing solutions engineering, sales engineering, solution architecture, or technical pre‐sales role.
n
- Strong competency across modern data stacks, including ETL/ELT, data warehouses, data lakes,
analytics, and cloud‐native data platforms.
n
- Experience working with enterprise customers in complex technical and stakeholder environments.
n
- Strong hands‐on technical capability, including SQL and Python.
n
- Ability to connect a customer's technical and business challenges to a practical Snowflake solution.
n
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage both technical and executive audiences.
n
- Confidence facilitating whiteboarding sessions, technical workshops, and solution discussions.
n
- A pragmatic, collaborative approach and a willingness to be hands‐on in driving customer success.
n
- Strong relationship‐building capability and the ability to simplify complex technical concepts into clear business narratives.
n
n
Nice to have
n
n
- Experience with AI and machine learning deployment workflows.
n
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
n
- Familiarity with business intelligence and data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI.
n
- Experience with large‐scale database technologies and cloud data platforms.
n
- Background in enterprise SaaS and complex technical sales cycles.
n
- A degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
n
