As an Airfield Engineer in the Air Force, you'll develop and maintain infrastructure, survey airfields and establish temporary runways in remote locations. Working with tradespeople and contractors, you'll play a crucial role in Air Force capability by providing advice on the provision and protection of airbases, onshore and offshore airfields, and air power.

- Planning and conducting engineering operations

- Managing aerodrome infrastructure and compliance

- Contributing to management of air base infrastructure and compliance

- Contributing to strategic infrastructure planning, development and delivery

- Conducting airfield surveys

Salary Progression
n
Whilst studying at ADFA, your salary will start from $52,773. Upon graduation and completion of initial military and employment training, you'll enjoy a salary package starting from $108,786 per annum.

Location
n
Following training, you may be posted to one of the major Air Force bases around Australia, such as RAAF Base Amberley or Williamtown.
n
Eligibility
n
To be eligible you must be at least 17 at the time of entry, an Australian citizen, and have passed Year 12 with a qualifying entrance rank for a Bachelor of Civil Engineering at UNSW.
