WATCH Disability Services is seeking an enthusiastic and creative Social Media & Communications Officer to help share our story and promote the positive impact WATCH has on the lives of people with disability.

This role is responsible for developing engaging content across our digital platforms, enhancing community awareness, and supporting communications that reflect WATCH's mission, values, and commitment to inclusion.

n

Key Responsibilities

n

n
- Develop, create and publish engaging content across WATCH's social media platforms.
n
- Create and maintain a regular newsletter for participants, families, staff, donors and stakeholders.
n
- Monitor and respond to online comments, messages and enquiries in a timely and qualified manner.
n
- Assist with promoting WATCH programs, achievements, participant success stories and community initiatives.
n
- Support marketing and promotional activities including:n n
- Open Days
n
- Community Expos
n
- Fundraising Events
n
- Special Projects and Campaigns
n

n
- Create content including photographs, videos,



graphics and written communications.
n
- Ensure all communications align with WATCH's brand, tone, values and strategic objectives.
n
- Assist with maintaining website content and promoting key organisational updates.
n
- Work collaboratively with staff, participants and stakeholders to identify and share positive stories.
n

Desired Skills and Experience

n

n
- Experience managing social media platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn and TikTok.
n
- Strong written communication and storytelling skills.
n
- Ability to create engaging digital content using Canva or similar design tools.
n
- Photography and videography skills highly regarded.
n
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
n
- Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities.
n
- Passion for community engagement and making a positive difference in the disability sector.
