We're growing our Water team in Melbourne and are looking for a Lead Mechanical Engineer to play a key role in delivering major infrastructure projects and building our mechanical capability.
n
This is more than a delivery role — it's an opportunity to:

You'll be joining a team with a strong pipeline across water, energy, and major infrastructure sectors, with exciting bids and projects already in motion.

Here are the key things you will do to 'bring ideas to life':
n
n
- Lead the mechanical design and delivery of water infrastructure projects
n
- Provide technical oversight across pumps, valves, pipelines and treatment assets
n
- Support projects across the full lifecycle — from concept design through to detailed design and Design & Construct delivery
n
- Mentor and develop junior and mid-level engineers
n
- Work closely with clients, building strong and trusted relationships
n
- Contribute to bids, proposals and business development
n
- Collaborate across interstate teams (VIC, SA, QLD, WA)
to deliver integrated solutions
n
- Drive technical excellence and continuously improve delivery standards
n
n
What We're Looking For
n
We're looking for someone ready to step into a true lead role - combining technical expertise with leadership. You'll bring:
n
n
- 8+ years' experience in mechanical engineering
n
- Strong background in water infrastructure
n n
- Pumps, valves and mechanical systems
n
- Treatment and supply infrastructure
n
n
- Experience in a consulting or project delivery environment
n
- Proven ability to lead or mentor engineers
n
- Experience working on multidisciplinary projects
n
n
Registrations & Experience
n
n
- Chartered Engineer (CPEng) / RPEV
n
- RPEQ highly regarded
n
- Established client networks or industry relationships beneficial
n
n
