Job Responsibilities
- Identify major competitors and research their fan products, sales and marketing strategies and provide such data and information for the Product Manager to analyze and make decision.
- Study, review and consolidate product data, catalogue, flyers, sales piece and other commercial documents for commercial and marketing promotional activities.
- Initiate product teardown and competitive benchmarking study and analysis with Engineering Team to provide cost reduction ideas and input for continuous cost reduction activities.
- Provide technical idea, sketch and fan drawings and other related customer order design special drawing to customer upon requests.
- Provide necessary recommendation and suggestions to the sales office for fan selection and the most optimal fan and selection with the best cost to meet a particular application.
- Provide necessary suggestions on a proactive basis to counter proposed alternative fan solutions when what requested by sales office is not exactly available.
- Support the Product Manager to provide fan selection training and application knowledge to the sales team.
- Interact with sales office and customer to gain first hand familiarity of need customers and product application.
- Participate in sales support related conferences, trade shows, workshops plus meetings to update on current information plus developments in the fan industry.
- Prepare, provide and review centrifugal fan sales data for all the series for review with Product Manager and decision.
- Assist the Product Manager to prepare, review and organize product presentation materials, promotional strategies for customer/sales office.
Qualifications
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering or any Engineering disciple with minimum 5 years of working experience in a technical sales support role.
- Solid written and verbal English communication skills. Conversant in Mandarin is preferable but not mandatory.
- Strong initiative with likeable personality with the ability to interface and interact with people of all levels.
- Having the aptitude for providing solutions and solving problems and the passion for a sales support functions and roles
- Knowledge in AutoCad and MS Office applications is a MUST.
