Head Chef – located within a beach side suburb in Melbourne at this upmarket eatery. Salary Range $90K – $100K + super.

The successful candidate will have a strong work ethic and the ability to perform in a fast paced kitchen and be able to deliver a range of food from fine dining to bar meals and the ability to manage events. In return you will be provided with a work place where you will continue to learn and develop your skills under the guidance of a supportive management team.

Duties

- Menu planning
n
- Estimating food and labour costs
n
- Liaising with suppliers and use of seasonal and local produce
n




- Monitoring quality of dishes at all stages of preparation and presentation
n
- Ensuring hygiene regulations are met
n
- The ability to train and nurture staff with leadership skills
n

n

Experience Required

n

n
- Show creativity in cookery techniques and ability to train others and experience in similar cuisine
n
- Work well under pressure
n
- Team oriented
n
- Positive, punctual and skilled approach
n
- Familiar with food safety and OHS guidelines
n
- Attention to detail
n
- Competency with ordering and managing stock
n
