A multinational complex technology company is now looking for a Verification and Validation engineer based in Sydney. Competitive salary, hybrid working arrangements.

You will be responsible for ensuring delivery for V&V; activities in a complex product development environment. This is an excellent opportunity for a V&V; Engineer to step into an Australian defence company delivering V&V; outcomes.

The Job:

n

n
- Be responsible for optimizing the delivery of testing processes and documentation for V&V;
n
- Ensure team alignment to overall company V&V; objectives and outcomes
n
- Mentor and guide other V&V; team members (if you are a senior)
n
- Work closely with Systems/Software/Project Engineers to plan and execute System and Subsystem V&V; strategies
n
- Author, maintain and review project and product related V&V; related documentation.
n
- Deliver into future V&V; programs, including the development of test automation capabilities
n
- Provide V&V; support for the preparation and review of proposals, offers and bids.
n
- Provide guidance and support the integration of V&V; functions across the organisation including continuous improvements of V&V; processes and programs.
n
- Assign, schedule and manage V&V; resources to projects according to changing priorities and staff development plans,



to achieve project-specific V&V; outcomes.

Knowledge and Experience required:

n

n
- Strong expertise in relevant V&V; for software/systems development
n
- 2+ years leading specific V&V; activities
n
- A degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or Software Engineering
n
- Systems Engineering process as applied to software design, development, testing and qualification.
n
- Engineering standards such as ISO-12207 (SW Life Cycle), ISO-1012 (SW V&V;), EIA-632 (Sys Eng) and EIA-649 (Config Mgmt).
n
- Practical experience in the generation of V&V; Plans and Procedures.
n
- Experience in C/C++ software development (desirable).
n
- Sound working knowledge of both Linux and Microsoft Windows operating systems.
n
- Experience with Tools – Git, Jira, Confluence, DOORS
n
- Excellent analytical/problem solving skills.
n
- Medical, Aerospace, Rail or Defence experience an advantage
n
